Rob Hellyer, Stephan Leblanc and Shayne Adams all had huge nights to lead the Oakville Rock to a 12-6 win over the Brampton Excelsiors Monday. Hellyer led all scorers with 8 points off 3 goals and 5 assists. Leblanc scored 3 goals and 4 assists and Adams had 2 goals and 5 assists. The key to the game was the second period. Things were all tied up 4-4 after the first 20 minutes, but Oakville outscored the Excels 4-0 in the second to take control of the game. Adams put the exclamation mark on the second-period run, scoring both of his goals just 29 seconds apart late in the frame. Joe Resetarits had 3 goals and 2 assists to lead Brampton, who remain in last place at 2-8 while Oakville moves one game ahead of them at 3-7.
