Lakers add to defence by acquiring Mike Kirk from KW for pair of draft picks

The Peterborough Lakers have added to an already strong defence by getting Mike Kirk from the KW Kodiaks in exchange for second and third round picks in the 2018 MSL draft. Kirk had been sent to KW earlier in the day from the Brampton Excelsiors.

Peterborough has allowed just seven goals combined in their last two games, thanks in large part to Kirk's brother Evan, who has been in net for all three Lakers wins to open the season.

Mike Kirk has played for Lakers head coach Mike Hasen with the NLL's Rochester Knighthawks, serving as an alternate captain and winning three Champions Cups. He has also won three Mann Cups with Brampton.
